RFID
The execution of the whole i-Track system and its unparalleled efficiency is enabled by tiny, imperceptible, passive elements. These are RFID labels - minute, only a few millimetre big - elements which are able to identify the assets to which they are attached, by means of radio waves. In cases where the assets are relatively large (waste containers, bins), the i-Track system also uses active RFID labels.
The use of active marks enables remote identification (at a distance of up to 50 m).
